CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) - More than a dozen Occupy Charlottesville protesters face trespassing charges for refusing to leave a city park after the group's permit expired.

City police resumed enforcement of an 11 p.m. curfew at Lee Park on Wednesday and arrested 18 protesters who didn't leave.

Media outlets report that one female protester stripped off her clothes. Officers covered her with a blanket and led her away in handcuffs. Other protesters linked arms and stood in a circle before police arrested them.

City police Lt. Ronnie Roberts says 16 protesters were taken to the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail. Two others were released after they were issued summonses.

Occupy Charlottesville protesters had been camping in the park since mid-October. They plan to meet Thursday at the First Amendment monument on the Downtown Mall.
