As the Republican National Convention gets its delayed start, a new poll is showing that Mitt Romney is just slightly ahead of President Obama.
The new Washington Post-ABC News poll shows Romney polling at 47 percent among registered voters and President Obama at 46 percent. The poll numbers are yet another show that neither Romney nor Obama are speeding ahead in the polls in the race to the White House.
The poll also revealed that the economy was a source of concernover eight in 10 gave the economy negative marks and nearly seven in 10 see the country as seriously off track, The Washington Post reported.
Seventy-two percent of voters say the president's handling of the economy will be a "major factor" in their vote this November.
