Michael Brown; Gambling bill is signed; New Immigration Policy

Today on NewsTalk, DC Councilman Michael Brown discussed the future of the panel under the leadership of new chairman Phil Mendelson. He discussed what challenges he expects the council to face in the coming weeks and his re-election bid. 

We also watched Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley sign a bill creating that would allow casino gambling across the state. Voters will have the final say on the matter this November. 

Finally, attorney Don Mooers spoke about the new "Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals," a policy that will give young, undocumented immigrants limited protection from deportation. Mooers discussed the nuances of the policy as well as future debates and implications surrounding the policy.
