GOP wants to ease pain on military
House Republicans want to take the rough edges off across-the-board spending cuts -- just as those cuts start to take effect.
Currently, the military stands to lose $43 billion over the next seven months. The new GOP measure would award the Defense Department its detailed 2013 budget while other agencies remain frozen at 2012 levels.
