A school officer caught a woman cutting up and snorting cocaine while parked in the parent pick-up line of a middle school in Lee County.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office says a Lexington Middle School resource officer saw 39-year-old Christina Hester through a window chopping up a white substance Tuesday afternoon.

According to WBBH, the officer watched Hester use a straw to snort the substance from off her phone.

"She's responsible for other people's lives and she's driving a car where my kids are walking and other kids. Just lack of responsibility," Lexington Middle School parent Katie Lindsay told WBBH.

"It's concerning. Especially the fact that she's out here and if she's the driver, you know to be out in the streets that way and in the proximity of a public school," added Glenn, another parent at the school who asked WBBH not use his last name.

Authorities say the officer asked Hester to go inside the school, where she admitted to having drugs in her car. The officer found .5 grams of cocaine in the woman's purse, according to the report.

Deputies arrested Hester on charges of possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to the Sheriff's Office, Hester posted a $6,100 bond the same night. She is expected to be in court Friday morning.
