WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) - Americans are lining up for all the deals this Friday.

An estimated 164 million people will shop over the Black Friday weekend, according to the National Retail Federation.

Consumer spending for the Black Friday weekend is expected to grow this year.

Retail sales are expected to increase almost 4 percent from last year and reach up to $682 billion this year for the entire holiday season.

The U.S. economy grew 3 percent in the third quarter despite hurricanes, and the unemployment rate fell 4.1 percent to a 17-year low last month.

In an effort to get Americans to spend more money this month, retailers started offering special promotions as early as Nov. 1.

But the best deals will still be on Black Friday.

This year, Americans will be able to get Black Friday deals online, not just in stores.
