      Taiwan earthquake 2013: 6.7 earthquake hits near Hualian

      A magnitude 6.7 earthquake shook Taiwan Thursday, USGS officials say.

      The quake struck about 38 miles southwest of the city of Hualian at about 8:02 p.m. local time.
