San Jose State: Building reopened after report of man with gun
A building at San Jose State University was placed on lockdown Thursday morning as police searched for a reported man with a gun. After a thorough search revealed nothing, the building has reopened.
Police received a report of a white man wearing all black and carrying a handgun inside Sweeney Hall around 9 a.m. There were no reports of injuries.
Students, staff and faculty were quickly alerted to lock themselves inside their classrooms. The rest of the campus remained open.
