President Obama speaks out about terrorist threat

BURBANK, Calif. (AP) - President Barack Obama says the threat of an imminent terrorist attack against Americans is "significant enough that we're taking every precaution."

Obama spoke Tuesday night on NBC's "The Tonight Show." The president said Americans should go ahead with summer travel plans abroad, but also should "show some common sense" and recognize that some countries are more dangerous than others.

The president's statements came on the same day that U.S. citizens were taken out of Yemen. Non-essential employees were removed from the embassy there because of the potential for a terrorist attack.
