One armed, one legged New York man rescues two children from fire

A New York City man proved Monday that you don't need to be in perfect physical condition to be the perfect kind of hero.

NBC 4 in New York reports that a man with just two limbs - one arm and one leg - was able to rescue a young boy and a newborn girl from a burning apartment building in the Bronx early Monday morning.

The fire happened in a second floor apartment in the large New York City borough just before 4 a.m. The man, identified as 54-year-old Fidel Morales, was able to rescue the 17-month-old boy and the baby from the flames.

Morales was not wearing a pair of prosthetic limbs that he usually wears when he helped the children.
