Five-alarm fire engulfs Houston condominiums

HOUSTON (AP) - A large apartment complex under construction in Houston has been consumed by fire, sending black smoke billowing into the sky and drawing hundreds of emergency personnel.

Houston fire officials say no injuries have been reported as a result of the dramatic blaze, first reported around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The fire was upgraded to a five-alarm call about an hour later as firefighters struggled to bring it under control.

Authorities say nearly 200 emergency personnel are at the scene.
