Kristian 'Varg' Vikerens arrested in France

Kristian Vikernes, a Norweigian neo-Nazi musician who spent more than a decade in jail for murdering a fellow band member, was arrested in France Tuesday after authorities believed he was planning a terror attack.

Agence France-Presse reports that Vikernes has ties to Anders Behring Breivik, the man who bombed a building in Oslo in 2011 and opened fire on a youth camp several hours later, killing dozens of teenagers.

AFP says that Vikernes, who also goes by the name Varg, was taken into custody at his home in central France.

Vikernes, 40, spent 15 years in prison after the the 1994 murder of the guitar player in his band, Mayhem.
