Grayson Bruce told not to bring his My Little Pony backpack to school
(ABC) - A nine year old North Carolina boy's backpack is at the center of national firestorm. Grayson Bruce was told to stop bringing his My Little Pony backpack to school because it was a distraction.
The school's principal says the backpack made him a target for bullies. Grayson's mom is currently homeschooling him and plans to speak to the principal later this week.
In the meantime, the My Little Pony story is lighting up on social media. There are more than 43,000 likes and counting on the support for Grayson Facebook page. And a change.org petition reaching more than 6000 signatures and counting calls for the school to allow Grayson to bring his bag back to school.
