Girls Around Me app has been removed from App Store

It’s a concept that is causing controversy: a new app that allows the tracking of women around you at certain locations has been removed, PC World reported.

The controversial geo-location iPhone app, Girls Around Me, shows buyers of the app profiles of women who have “checked in” via Facebook or Foursquare, in nearby locations. The app was voluntarily removed from the Apple App Store, PC World reported.

Concern over the facilitation of stalking has plagued the release of the app.
