(WJLA) - A construction worker was killed Monday while working at the site of a new football stadium in the San Francisco Bay Area, NBC Bay Area says, the second worker to die during this project.
The accident happened at about 8 a.m. at the construction site of Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., the future home of the NFL's San Francisco 49ers.
According to KTVU, the worker was killed when a roll of rebar fell on him.
In June, an elevator mechanic was killed while working at the stadium site as well.
Levi's Stadium will open next season and has been selected to host Super Bowl L on Feb. 7, 2016.
