      Alaska earthquake 2013: 7.0 earthquake hits remote part of Aleutian Islands

      A large earthquake struck Friday afternoon just south of Aleutian Islands in Alaska.

      The magnitude-7.0 earthquake struck 20 miles below the ocean floor near a remote part of Alaska.

      There's no report of any damage or injuries. No tsunami warnings have been posted.
