Upper Marlboro fire kills female victim

(AP, WJLA) - Authorities say a woman pulled out of her burning Upper Marlboro home Sunday morning has died.

Prince George's County fire department spokesman Mark Brady says the woman was found unconscious in a fire that was reported about 3 a.m. Sunday in a two-story house on Peachleaf Court in Upper Marlboro.

He says the woman suffered second and third-degree burns and smoke inhalation. She was taken to the Prince George's County Hospital Center in Cheverly, where she later died.{ }

Authorities are expected to release the victim's identity Monday afternoon after an autopsy is conducted.

Fire investigators believe the cause of the fire was accidental. Fire loss is estimated at $30,000.

No other injuries were reported.
