Water main break shuts down ramp to National Airport from George Washington Parkway
A water main break shut down the westbound ramp to Reagan National Airport Friday morning from the southbound lanes.
By 6:45 a.m. one lane of traffic was re-opened going into the ramp, but delays were still expected.
As an alternative route, drivers can also use the second exit or take U.S. Route 1.
ABC7's Sam Sweeney reports live from the scene, that once crews arrived they were faced with difficulties finding the access point that resulted in a delay in shutting the water off.
This is a developing story and will be updated as details become available.
