Virginia woman, reported missing by fiancé, found dead in her own home
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) -- A Virginia woman who was last seen leaving her home for a walk has been found dead inside her residence.
Area news outlets report Charlottesville police said in a news release Monday night that a detective found the body of 31-year-old Molly Meghan Miller on Monday evening. Authorities did not say if they're treating the case as a homicide and did not release details of earlier searches of the home.
Miller had last been seen Friday evening, and her fiancé reported her missing a day later.
Police said there's no perceived threat to the public.
Before Miller's body was found, Deputy Chief Gary Pleasants said police had deployed bloodhounds and were checking security cameras near her home.
The news release says police will provide more details "when appropriate."
