Virginia marathon enthusiasts return home after Boston explosions
Two people from Virginia who were at the Boston Marathon and witnessed firsthand the devastation from the explosions have now made their way home.
Marathon runners will tell you there is nothing like the Boston Marathon, an amazing event on an incredible day in the city. And like others who were there Monday, Ivette Booher and Dave Watt will never forget the day that event changed forever.
Booher, an avid runner from Lorton, was approaching Mile Marker 26 when the explosions happened.
Watt of Springfield was a spectator, taking photos, and the ones he took after the explosions remain haunting.
ABC7's Jeff Goldberg talks with both of the marathon enthusiasts.
