Virginia launches voting accessibility project
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia officials have launched a project to educate disabled and senior residents about voting accessibility.
The project includes online videos that show voters how to register, apply for an absentee ballot or annual application, vote curbside or use assistance at the polls on Election Day.
The project is a joint effort by the State Board of Elections and the Virginia Board of People with Disabilities.
Printed materials also are posted on the websites, or can be obtained through either agency.
A webcast is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at http://bit.ly/WebcastOCT2.
