DC police search for man they say was caught on camera firing gun down Metro escalator
WASHINGTON (ABC7) —
Police have released the photo of a man they say was caught on camera firing a gun down an escalator at the Columbia Heights Metro station on Aug. 25 in Northwest Washington.
Police say 22-year-old Cesar Morales is wanted for assault with a dangerous weapon. Police say Morales is between 5'2" and 5'5", Hispanic, with brown eyes, black hair and weighing about 150 pounds.
In a video released by police, two individuals are seen running outside the Metro station. The video then shows one of the men, who police say is Morales, pull out a gun and shoots down the Metro escalator and the other person.
Photos displayed by authorities shows the shooter wearing a gray jacket, jeans and dark sneakers. The other person was wearing a black vest, a white shirt with black jeans, light-colored sneakers, and a dreadlock hairstyle.
