Venus, Serena Williams to hold D.C. tennis clinic

WASHINGTON (AP) - Venus and Serena Williams are hosting a tennis clinic for Washington kids, followed by a gala affair at night.

The sisters and tennis stars will be in the district Thursday as part of the 10th anniversary of the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center. They'll take part in a youth tennis clinic at 2 p.m.

They're also scheduled to appear with Mayor Vincent Gray at a fundraising gala for the SETLC's recreational and educational programs.

The center was opened in 2001 and has served more than 4,000 children.
