(WJLA) - The Federal Aviation Administration says it is investigating after a tractor used to push planes back from the runway instead crashed into the front of a plane at BWI Airport.
American Airlines tells our sister station ABC2 in Baltimore that it happened a little after 4 p.m. as passengers were boarding Flight 140, which was scheduled to fly to Dallas-Fort Worth.
The pushback tractor crashed into the nose of the plane on the lower right side.
No passengers were hurt. The driver of the tractor went to the hospital briefly and was then released.
American Airlines told ABC2 that it was investigating what caused the accident, which caused significant damage to the nose of the plane.
