USGS reports earthquake near Delaware Bay just two weeks after 4.1-magnitude quake nearby

A small earthquake occurred in the United States Geological Survey's Chesapeake Bay Region Tuesday night, the organization announced Wednesday.

USGS says a magnitude 1.2 quake struck a little more than eight miles Northeast of Dover at around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The earthquake reportedly struck here, just off the Delaware Bay:

The news comes about two weeks after a 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck in the Delaware Bay.

That quake happened about six miles East-Northeast of Dover.
