Whether you'd like to get a free ride home or pay top dollar to get around in style, New Year's Eve revelers have plenty of options to get around the Washington, D.C. area on Monday night and Tuesday morning.

The Washington Regional Alcohol Program is once again offering its SoberRide program, providing free cab rides for those who'd like to imbibe.

Patrons can receive up to a $30 cab ride for free between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. by calling 1 (800) 200-TAXI.

If you'd rather use Uber to get home, though, get ready to pay up.

In an email to Uber users sent over the weekend, the car company said that "surge pricing" will be in effect. Uber says the price will increase by an average of twice the normal fare in order to keep a maximum number of cars on the road.

However, officials say that during the busiest times, Uber users should expect base fares to reach $100 minimum before adding in time and mileage.

Uber says that they expect the largest spike to happen between 12:15 and 2:45 a.m.
