Two women sexually assaulted by cab driver

Police are searching for a man working as a cabdriver who sexually assaulted two women.

Police said they believe the two assaults are related. In both cases, the women were picked up by a person working as a cabdriver, who sexually assaulted the victims while en route to their destination.

The victims in these assaults have described the suspect as being a Middle Eastern male with either olive or light brown skin tone, approximately 30-40 years of age, thin build, thick or curly hair, and wearing dark clothing. The suspect vehicle is described as a dark colored taxicab with dark interior.

One victim was picked up in the Dupont Circle area on May 11 and assaulted in the area of the 300 block of 18th Street Northeast. The second assault took place on May 22 in the area of the 3700 block of Quebec Street NW, en route from the Georgetown area. Both assaults occurred during the early morning hours.
