WASHINGTON (AP) - Friends of a popular Capitol Hill bar damaged by fire are coming together for a fundraiser to benefit the bar's staff, who are out of work while the bar is repaired.
A fire in late June at the Tune Inn Restaurant caused approximately $75,000 to $100,000 in damage.
The fundraiser is being held at the American Legion post on D Street in Southeast from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday.
The event will include music, raffle prizes and the chance to buy Tune Inn memorabilia.
Tickets are $20.
The bar is expected to reopen in the fall.
