Rescue teams recover body of missing swimmer in Triadelphia Reservoir

BROOKEVILLE, Md. (WJLA) - Rescue teams from Montgomery and Howard counties spent much of Wednesday evening searching Triadelphia Reservoir for a missing swimmer.

A Montgomery County Fire and EMS spokesman said on Twitter that the missing swimmer is a 19-year-old male who went entered the water with a larger group of swimmers and then disappeared.

The victim's body was recovered from the water by the Charles County Volunteer Dive Rescue Team and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police Underwater Operations Unit at about 2:33 p.m. Friday.

Montgomery County Police identified the victim as Avery Troix Williams, 19, of the 19600 block of Crystal Rock Drive in Germantown.
