A 20-year-old man accused of killing a Prince George’s County teen was indicted Thursday on a charge of murder.
Travon Bennett was indicted for the murder of Marckel Ross, an 18-year-old killed on Sept. 11 in the 6100 block of Central Avenue while walking to school. His murder baffled the community and led fellow students and others to hold vigils for the slain teen.
Police say Bennett, a Bryans Road resident, was arrested last fall for a street robbery. The gun used in the robbery matched the one used to kill Marckel.
