Metro: Transgender female stabbed at metro station
WASHINGTON (ABC7) —
Metro police were on the scene of a minor stabbing at the Navy Yard Metro Station on Saturday, according to Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.
Metro says a group of transgender teens, who allegedly knew each other, got into a fight around 9:20 p.m.
A 16-year-old transgender female was stabbed in the lower back. Her injury is non-life threatening, Metro says.
According to Metro, police now have one person in custody.
The incident did not affect rail service.
