Trains single-tracking after report of smoke at Rosslyn Metro station in Arlington

Trains are single-tracking at the Rosslyn Metro station after a report of smoke in the tunnel Wednesday afternoon in Arlington, Virginia.

A Metro Emergency Response team arrived to the station and is entering the tunnel to evaluate the situation, according to fire officials.

Arlington Police has a road outside of the rail station shut down and officials say to avoid the area with delays expected.

Crews arrived at the station and found the area clear of smoke and fire, according to the Arlington Fire Department.

A smoking insulator in the tunnel between Rosslyn and Foggy Bottom was initially reported by fire officials.
