7:22 p.m.: Police have identified the two men who were killed in Columbia Heights this morning: 32-year-old Jimmie Lee Simmons III and 31-year-old Domonique Barber, both of Northwest D.C.
6:30 p.m.: Sources tell ABC7 that gambling was going on when two men were killed and one victim was left in critical condition early Saturday morning in Columbia Heights.
But police have not confirmed that information.
According to Councilmember Jimo Graham, the two victims who died at the scene were shot in the head.
A gun was reportedly recovered from one of the victims.
No arrests have been made.
Three shot, two killed in Columbia Heights shooting
Two people were shot and killed and another was injured in an early morning shooting in Columbia Heights, police say.
D.C. Police says that they received a report of shots fired in the 1400 block of Parkwood Place NW just before 6 a.m.
All of the victims were adult males, authorities say. The third victim was transported from the scene and police say he is in critical condition.
Police are searching for suspects and leads. Authorities say that they're looking for two black males who fled the scene of the shooting on foot.
The shooting took place just blocks away from the major D.C. USA shopping center and Columbia Heights Metro station.
