(WJLA) - Police are investigating a threatening message written on a wall at Montgomery College's Rockville campus. The message was discovered on a stairwell wall at the campus center. It read "school shooting, 3/5/14."
Students received an email warning that detailed the threat of the supposed shooting to take place on Wednesday, and now, Montgomery College is strengthening security at its three campuses and calling in local police to help out.
This is the second time in a month that the school has had to deal with a graffiti warning of an imminent campus shooting. The first at the Germantown campus turned out to be an empty threat.
Some at Montgomery College expect and hope that nothing comes of the graffiti this time as well. The school is allowing students to speak with their professors about their plans for Wednesday, and professors are expected to be accommodating of students who choose not to come to school tomorrow.
