The Frederick County mother who mysteriously disappeared last week was found unharmed in Spotsylvania County, Va. late Tuesday.

Police say Teresa Lentz's disappearance was willful.

Lentz's family had last heard from her Wednesday about an hour after she left their Bartonsille Road home. Her SUV, with her keys and cellphone inside, was found a few miles away later that night.

For days, her husband and children, along with police, canvassed the area with posters and photos of their mother.

Around 10 p.m. Tuesday, the 49 year old was found in Virginia and later reunited with her family.

The Lentz family released the following statement Wednesday, in part:

"... We are overjoyed that she is safe and back with us. At this time, we would like everyone to know that we are in a family crisis situation, and that we just need privacy at this time..."
