SUITLAND, Md. (WJLA) - Detectives in Prince George's County are trying to track down four men they say robbed carjacked a woman in Suitland last week.

The armed carjacking happened on Dec. 13 at a strip mall 4600 block of Suitland Road, just across the street from the U.S. Census Bureau, authorities say. In surveillance video of the crime, a suspect can be seen accosting a woman at gunpoint before wrestling her to the ground.

Prince George's County Police officials say the crime began when the suspects pulled a man from his car, beat him and tried to drag them to their SUV. When the victim's girlfriend appears, she's slammed into a wall at gunpoint.

The male victim's car ended up being stolen and both victims were injured. Authorities say the man was at the shopping center to pick his girlfriend up from a tattoo parlor.

"It really struck us," Prince George's County Police Lt. Brad Pyle said. "The violence of the assault, the violence of the whole act."
