Steven Spradling, MWAA officer shot, killed inside his Sterling home
Police have identified the man shot and killed in his Sterling home Friday night as Steven Spradling, 52, an officer of the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority Police Department.
Rosangela Spradling, 42, of Sterling has been charged with first degree murder. She is being held at the Loudoun County Detention Center without bond.
The shooting happened at about 9 p.m. Friday in the 21700 block of Blossom Drive in Sterling. When Loudoun County Sheriff's deputies arrived, they found the victim dead at the scene.
Police say two children were in the home, but were not harmed. They are staying with family friends, according to a statement from the Sheriff’s office.
