Soccer coach facing child porn charges

Lisa Startzman described her daughter's soccer coach as a good, upstanding person. This made it all the more shocking when she learned the coach, Roger Repp, was charged with possessing and distributing child pornography.

"I can't really grasp it," she said. "I don't believe it. It's just flabbergasting."

Startzman said her 13-year-old daughter played on the same team as Repp's step daughter. She said she trusted Repp so much that she would have let her daughter spend the night at his house and ride with him to soccer tournaments.

According to charging documents, a detective from Canada contacted Maryland authorities about an internet user who used the alias "11to14forme." The user was allegedly sharing thousands of files of child porn. Authorities tracked down the IP address to Repp, in the 600 block of Westwood Street in Hagerstown.

Repp answered his door but declined to comment.

Authorities said that when they arrived at Repp's house on Friday afternoon, he told them that since he doesn't work, he is on his computer constantly and has about 100 files of child porn on his hard drive and computer, according to charging documents.

Neighbors said that the fact that Repp is back home after posting $30,000 in bond was unsettling.
