School bus fires in Fairfax County
(WJLA) - Two school buses caught fire early Wednesday morning at a Fairfax County Public School transportation facility in Chantilly.
Firefighters responded to the transportation center, located near Westfield High School at 4700 Stonecroft Blvd. in Chantilly, around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. One of the two buses had already burned itself out, leaving just one bus blaze for firefighters to extinguish.
A spokesman for Fairfax County Public Schools said there were no injuries reported and that the cause of the fire remains under investigation. The spokesman also said the fires did not affect morning transportation.
Damages are estimated to be $160,000.
