Cloudy skies to kick off the weekend with the chance for scattered afternoon thunderstorms on Saturday. There should be some breaks in the clouds especially later in the afternoon and daytime highs get into the upper 80s. The best chance for isolated thunderstorms today is mainly west of D.C.

Cloudy skies linger Saturday night with lows in the upper 60s to mid-70s.

On Father's Day expect hot and humid conditions with highs in the low 90s! The chance for an isolated shower or thunderstorm continues, especially in the afternoon. If you do have any outdoor plans with day be sure to keep an eye to the sky. Any thunderstorms that develop this weekend could produce heavy rain in a short amount of time. Watch for ponding on roadways.

An approaching cold front increases our chance for stronger storms on Monday. The threat for severe weather is possible Monday late afternoon/evening. The main impacts would be damaging winds, heavy rain and flash flooding.
