Quindell Mercer sentenced to 110 years for double homicide
A man convicted of killing his mother and stepbrother was sentenced Friday to 110 years behind bars in Prince George's County.
Quindell Mercer was convicted of two counts of second-degree murder and other charges for the August 2011 double-shooting.
Prosecutors say Mercer shot both victims and then positioned their bodies on a sofa. They say DNA evidence and an FBI handwriting evidence connected Mercer to the crime.
The victims were Patricia Mercer Harris and Frank Lamar Harris.
