A group of refugees, faith leaders and lawmakers gathered in front of the White House Thursday to protest against President Trump's latest refugee travel ban. They also applauded recent court decisions in states like Hawaii and Maryland.

The executive orders signed on March 6 ban individuals from six Muslim majority nations for 90 days and all refugees for 120 days.

“Well the message is that discrimination based on race or nationality, or religion is not American and we shouldn’t make policies that discriminate. So we’re here to just repeat and make clear that we’re going to stand against this as long as it takes,” stated Melanie Nezer, Vice President, policy and advocacy of HIAS.

The rally took place just hours after a federal judge in Hawaii issued a restraining order against the presidents latest plan.
