UPDATE: As of 5:23 a.m., all power has been restored, Pepco officials confirm. The cause of the outage was due to a faulty cable.
ORIGINAL: Nearly 900 Pepco customers along Porter Avenue in Northwest were without power for several hours overnight.
Utility officials are still looking into what caused the outages.
Around 2 a.m., power was restored to all but 161 customers. Pepco says they hope to have power restored to the remaining customers by noon.
