Power restored to nearly 1300 in Potomac

      UPDATE 10:55 a.m.: Pepco says power has been fully restored in the area. It's still unclear what caused the explosion or if one even occurred.{}But there was a report of a tree falling onto a power line causing a "click out," which may have caused a small explosion, officials say.

      ORIGINAL: An explosion in Potomac has left nearly 1,300 Pepco customers without power, an{}official says.

      The blast occurred shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday. The location{}of the explosion{}is not{}available at this time.

      Pepco officials say 1,280 customers are without power as a result.
