ORIGINAL: An explosion in Potomac has left nearly 1,300 Pepco customers without power, an{ }official says.

The blast occurred shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday. The location{ }of the explosion{ }is not{ }available at this time.

Pepco officials say 1,280 customers are without power as a result.
