(WJLA) -- Two weeks before D.C.'s Democratic primary, a new poll says there is a tie between the top two candidates for mayor.
The Washington City Paper poll says Mayor Vincent Gray and Councilmember Muriel Bowser are splitting the vote among likely voters.
Both are currently polling at 27 percent.
The paper says Gray's poll numbers have barely budged after businessman Jeffrey Thompson's guilty plea regarding illegal "shadow campaign" contributions.
Though Gray has staunchly denied it, Thompson has said the mayor knew about the illegal shadow campaign during his race in 2010.
