Police searching for missing Germantown girl with autism

UPDATE: Darryllyn Greene has been located safe and unharmed, according to Montgomery County police.

Montgomery County police said Tuesday they are searching for a missing Germantown girl with autism.

Darryllyn Greene, 14, was last seen at approximately 5 a.m. Tuesday at her home in the 14000 block of Jump Drive in Germantown.

Police describe Greene as a 5-foot-6, 115-pound African American girl with black braided her with gold tips and brown eyes. When last seen, she was wearing a white sweater, black leggings, UGG boots and red glasses. She was also carrying a pink metallic backpack.

Greene is familiar with mass transit and detectives said they have received information that she may have been at Union Station in D.C. at approximately 9 a.m.

Police said they and her family are concerned about her emotional and physical welfare.
