Police investigating fatal car crash in Fort Washington

FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (WJLA) - A person was killed in a fatal car crash in Prince George's County Monday morning.

Prince George's County police are on scene investigating an accident at Route 210 and East Swan Creek Road in Forth Washington. A Cadillac was traveling southbound on Rt. 210 Indian Head Highway around 2:40 a.m. when it shifted into the northbound lanes and{ }hit a silver BMW in a head-on collision, according to Prince George County Police Department spokesperson Nicole Hubbard.

Both adult male drivers were transported to a local hospital. The driver of the BMW was pronounced dead while the driver of the Cadillac reportedly sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Police have shut down all northbound lanes of Rt. 210 near Livingston Road and traffic is being rerouted to the service roads. It is unclear when the lanes will be reopened.
