Benjamin Kirby Jr. found dead in Crownsville

      CROWNSVILLE, Md. (WJLA) - A murder investigation is underway in Anne Arundel County.

      Police responded to the 1100 block of Honeysuckle Lane in Crownsville at about 6 a.m. Wednesday for a report of an unoccupied taxi with its meter running.

      Arriving officers found blood inside the vehicle along with other signs of a struggle. No one was in the immediate area of the vehicle.

      The body of Benjamin Delano Kirby Jr., 41, was found on a driveway near the intersection of Honeysuckle Lane and Generals Highway. Police say he had suffered trauma to his upper body.

      Kirby's family says he was a cab driver and was last heard from after he took a call around midnight Wednesday.

      There is no suspect description. Anyone with information should call police.
