Police chase ends in College Park crash

A police chase that started in Prince George’s County ended with a crash in the College Park area.

Several police cars were racing after a vehicle along Annapolis Road at the Capital Beltway Friday morning. The chase apparently started when someone crashed into a sheriff's deputy's car, ABC7 News has learned.

During the chase, the suspect intentionally collided with several Maryland State Police cruisers, Maryland State Police said.

Spike strips were used to blow the suspect's tires, but the chase still continued for some time.

The suspect{ }was eventually arrested after the car they were driving collided with{ }an Exit 25 sign near the Beltway, ABC7 has learned.

The suspect’s car has been towed from the scene.
