Police arrest man in casino parking lot robbery

HANOVER, Md. (AP) - Police say they're arrested a man believed to have robbed a couple at gunpoint as they sat in a car outside the Maryland Live! Casino.

Anne Arundel County police say they got a tip about the whereabouts of the car used by the assailant.

They found the car at a home in District Heights and pulled over two vehicles that drove away. Police brought in 28-year-old Errick Lewis of Temple Hills for questioning.

Police say Lewis admitted to the robbery and directed police to the location of the pellet gun he used. The gun was recovered.

The robbery occurred shortly before 7 a.m. on Saturday in the parking garage for the casino in Hanover.

Lewis is charged with two counts of armed robbery and other offenses.
